Carestia is a 2D side-scrolling action-platformer set in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world where humanity has been driven from Earth by self-aware technology. Playing as a soldier of the New Day, a special force trained on an artificial planet, players are tasked with infiltrating an underground fortress to steal a powerful energy crystal and weaken Earth's defenses for a future reclamation. The game blends precise, fast-paced combat with thoughtful environmental puzzles built around an energy-wiring mechanic that challenges players to use items strategically to progress.
