Isaac Desulme ; The Basement of Mom is a dark and humorous roguelike dungeon crawler inspired by classic top-down dungeon games. You play as Isaac Desulme, a frightened child who discovers a hidden trapdoor beneath the carpet after his mother locks herself away. Descend through a series of randomly generated floors filled with dangerous creatures, locked rooms, obstacles, secrets, and increasingly powerful bosses. Clear each room to unlock its doors, explore the dungeon, collect powerful upgrades, and find the boss guarding the way deeper underground. Isaac attacks by firing tears in different directions while moving freely around each room. Throughout the run, you can discover a wide variety of strange items that improve damage, firing speed, movement speed, range, tear size, piercing, homing abilities, health, and other combat attributes. Every run can play differently depending on the upgrades you find. The basement becomes more dangerous as you descend, introducing new enemy types, projectiles, stronger monsters, charging enemies, ghosts, and unique bosses. A minimap helps you navigate the procedurally generated floors and locate unexplored rooms, item rooms, and boss rooms. Behind the absurd atmosphere is a darker story about Isaac, his mother, fear, loneliness, and what may really be waiting at the bottom of the basement. Explore. Fight. Cry. Descend deeper.
